Since 2017, Ayr Marine Services has evolved from a one-man mobile operation into one of North Queensland’s most trusted marine dealerships.
Founder Aidan Slatcher started out servicing and repairing outboards from the back of his ute, quickly building a reputation throughout the Ayr region for dependable workmanship and straightforward, honest service. That strong foundation has powered the business’ steady growth year after year.
Today, Ayr Marine Services operates from a large, modern facility at 61 Queen Street, Ayr, supported by a dedicated and experienced team. Growth has come naturally — expanding their outboard offering in 2022, becoming an authorised Makocraft dealer in 2023, and adding Suzuki Marine outboards in 2024.
With a consistent range of Makocraft boats in stock, customers have the opportunity to view models in person, compare options and get on the water sooner. The business has relocated twice to accommodate its rapid expansion — a clear reflection of the strong local support and the team’s commitment to continual improvement.
Beyond the showroom, Ayr Marine Services proudly represents Makocraft at major boat shows and local community events, actively supporting the North Queensland boating lifestyle.
